Attorney SusAnne Lee Chung

About Attorney SusAnne Lee Chung

In 1997, SusAnne Lee Chung (formerly SusAnne Lee Hill Jenkins) founded her own law practice.   Her practice is limited to helping clients to create their legacies: estate planning, business planning, real estate transactions, business law, and non-profit corporations. For her clients, she strives to make these areas of law understandable and non-intimidating.

Having been a widow herself, she understands the importance of pre-planning and the difficulty of making decisions while dealing with grief.

At a conference when she was in law school, she heard a scripture passage from the Bible which became the guiding principles of her professional practice.

“Learn to do good. Seek justice. Reprove the ruthless.

Defend the orphan. Plead for the widow.”

– Isaiah 1:17

She is the author of

  • “Do You Need a California Living Trust? Understanding Basic Estate Planning in California”
  • “Get Your Information in Order: A Guide for Organizing Your Personal, Estate and Financial Information.” and
  • “Funding Your Living Trust”

Her newest books will soon be released: “Your California Trust”, “Trust Administration for the Non-Lawyer”; “ILITs: Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts” and “Who Inherits? Intestacy under California Law”.

She graduated with a B.A. in journalism and a Spanish minor from the University of Oregon and she received her Juris Doctor (law degree) at Regent University, Virginia Beach, Virginia. In law school, she earned the American Jurisprudence Award for legal writing and a Distinguished Achievement Award, recognizing her for the highest estate and family law grades in her graduating class.

She is licensed in California (License Number 186691) and Virginia (License Number 38651), although currently she is only actively practicing in California.

She is a licensed real estate and business broker with the California Department of Real Estate.  She uses the license to handle real estate property management during trust administrations and to assist clients in selling and purchasing businesses.

Besides English, she speaks Spanish, Signed English and American Sign Language.

She is an officer and board member of Christian Foundation of America ( www.CFA.charity) and an active volunteer at her church, Ventura Missionary Church ( www.venturamissionary.com).

As fourth-generation Ventura County resident, she is grateful to live and work in such a wonderful place with her husband, Augustine Chung.
